There are 23 physicians in the County, all members of the Prince Edward Family Health Team (PEFHT).
Established in 2006, the Prince Edward Family Health Team’s brings family doctors together with nurse practitioners, registered nurses, social workers, dietitians, and other professionals who work from 5 different clinic locations; 4 in Picton and 1 in Wellington.
The FHT has a reputation for its strong team orientation. As a result, Family Health Team attracts doctors who are dedicated to family practice and who want to work as a team with other health professionals. Many of the docs teach family medicine residents from Queens University or University of Ottawa.
